Ilion - Margaret (Peg) Orendorff, 76, a long time Ilion resident passed away peacefully on Friday July 29, 2016 at her home with her loving family by her side.

She was born May 4, 1940 in Ilion, the daughter of the late Terrance and Elizabeth (Blais) Farley. Peg was a graduate of Ilion High School, class of 1957.

Peg was last employed at the former General Electric in Utica.

A woman devoted to her family, She always put the needs of her children and grandchildren first. She was an avid New York Yankee fan and enjoyed going to Yankee Stadium to watch the games. One of her favorite pastimes was visiting the local casinos.

Survivors include her sons, Floyd "Butch" Eckler and wife Tiffany of Ilion, and Wade Eckler and wife Amy of the Town of Frankfort; her daughters, Terry Schrecongost and husband Brad of Ohio and Linda Ford and husband Roger of Ilion; a brother, Tom Farley of North Carolina; three sisters, Jean Wilson and husband Ron of Ilion, Mary Sanganetti and husband Joe of Herkimer, and Cindy Gengler and husband Roy of Rome; her beloved grandchildren, Morgan Gail, Hunter, Andrew and Amber Eckler, Ryan, Danielle, Jessica, Allison and Sarah Ford, Joseph and Carmine Piteo and Monica and John Beroino; her great grandchildren, Jazmine and Andrew Eckler, Jr., and Alexzander and Izabella Eckler; her sister-in-law; Elaine Farley of Ilion, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was pre-deceased by her brothers, Willard and James Farley, a sister, Donna Mower and a nephew; Joseph Sanganetti, IV.

The family will be receiving relatives and friends on Tuesday August 2, 2016 from 5 to 7 pm at the Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, New Location, 527 East Albany St., Herkimer, NY, 866-1500. Funeral services and burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
