Little Falls - William L. Busch, 75, a lifelong Little Falls resident, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown, NY after a brief illness.
He was born on June 26, 1949, in Little Falls, the son of the late Lewis and Susan (Bucenec) Busch and was a graduate of Little Falls High School.
On August 22, 1998, in Little Falls, NY he married Rita Busch in a private ceremony at a close friend's home. They shared 34 years together; 26 of them as husband and wife.
Bill's last place of employment was with the Little Falls City School District. A job he thoroughly enjoyed. He made several friends with his co-workers that continued after his retirement.
He was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Little Falls attending Wednesday morning mass. Bill was a very active and social man and enjoyed the times
he spent with his friends reminiscing and trading hunting stories. He was a member of the Richfield Springs Vets Club, Amvets Post 2000 in Fort Plain, Canajoharie Moose Lodge and a life member of the Polish Community Club in Little Falls.
Survivors include his wife, Rita; a daughter, Ashley Busch; two sons, Billy Busch and wife Sharon and Cooper Busch and wife Stephanie; four grandchildren, Damion, Larissa, Donovan and Jordan; a sister, Judy Rositano and her daughters. He is also survived by his in-laws and several cousins. Bill was a friend to all he met and leaves behind several close friends and hunting buddies with everlasting memories that we will never forget.
He was pre-deceased by his daughter, Trish M. Rinaldi on September 28, 2021, and a stepson, Jeremy Miller on April 2, 2018.
In keeping with Bill's wishes, graveside services at Mt. View Memorial Gardens will be private and held at the convenience of his family. A celebration of Bill's life will be held on Saturday Jan. 4th at 2:00pm at the Canajoharie Moose Lodge, 205 Erie Blvd, Canajoharie, NY 13317. Arrangements are under the caring guidance of the locally owned and family operated, Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, (next to Hannaford Markets), 527 E, Albany St., Herkimer, NY.
