William Fuelleman Obituary

Fort Plain - William E. (Bill) Fuelleman 82, a longtime Fort Plain resident, passed away unexpectedly from natural causes on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, in the privacy of his home.

He was born on July 28, 1943, in Rochester, NY, the son of the late Edward W. and Eva A. (Budynski) Fuelleman. Bill was a graduate of Fort Plain High School, class of 1961 and did his apprenticeship with the Electrical Union Local 81.

For 35 years, Bill was employed by the IBEW Local 81 in Utica, NY.

Mr. Fuelleman was of the Catholic faith. Bill was a 62-year active member of the Fort Plain Volunteer Fire Department and was a charter member of the Canajoharie - Fort Plain BPOE Lodge # 2621. Bill was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping.

He is survived by his companion of 51 years, Bonnie Chest; his daughters, Stacey Miller and Tanya Orsell; a son, Russell W. Sanders and wife Debbie; three grandchildren, Travis Miller, Lucas Miller, and Keenan Sanders; a sister, Sue Turner; a brother, Eric Fuelleman and wife Vicki; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Bill was pre-deceased by a brother - in - law, Joe Turner and a son - in- law, William Miller.

In keeping with Bill’s wishes, funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of his family. Arrangements are under the caring guidance of the locally owned and family operated, Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service (next to the Masonic Lodge) 20 Bridge St., St. Johnsville, NY. All memorial contributions may be made to Fort Plain Volunteer Fire Department, 168 Canal St., Fort Plain, NY 13339, Ayers Memorial Animal Shelter, 133 Hilltop Road, Sprakers, NY 12166, your local SPCA, or to a charity of one’s choice.
