Trudy Lynn Farley, 64, of Dolgeville, NY, passed away peacefully with family and the love of her life by her side at Westchester Medical Center, Valhalla, NY.
She was born on July 22, 1960, in Greenbrook, NJ, the daughter of the late Andre Demer and Betty Ruth Farley (Wyckoff). She grew up in North Plainfield, NJ. She graduated class of 1978 from North Plainfield High School. Trudy went on to further her education as a Licensed Practical Nurse and was last with Wells Nursing Home in Johnstown, NY.
She was predeceased by her husband of thirteen years Paul Cook and her beloved son Brian Baum.
Surviving are her daughters Myriah Smith (Oppenheim, NY) Heather Baum (Little Falls, NY). Six beautiful grandchildren: Leah Morgan Lynch, (fiancé) Christian Davis, Todd Michael Smith Jr (fiancé) Kiley Rae O’Bryan), Katherine Rose Sampere, (fiancé) Randy Steven Jennings Jr.), Jesse James Smith, Elijiah Alexander Baum, and Lilly Rose Powell. Five beautiful and precious great grandchildren: Katrina Lynn Fasske, Conrad Joseph Fasske, Anastasia Grace Jennings, Jaxsyn Samuel Allen Smith, and Valencia Grace Davis whom she loved all dearly. A dear sister Roberta Sampere (Farley) (Little Falls, NY). A dear precious lady she thought the world of Audrey Dillenbeck. She is also survived by the love of her life Nellis Duesler (Unadilla, NY) with whom she wanted to share the world and many nieces and nephews.
Trudy was a beautiful soul who always saw the good in people and would help in anyway she could. Whether it was lending a dollar or providing groceries, she would always say “come shopping at the house of mom.” She always made sure we said “please” or “may I” because again she would always say “I don’t know, can you?” which meant “say May I or you can’t do it.” A few other favorites of hers were “gimme got shot” or “how's it feel to want” or “I‘ll give you something to cry about.” Those sayings will always stick with all of us. She loved to garden and plant flowers or a garden every year. She loved her hostas and her lilac’s. She definitely loved to be outside from sun up to sun down, whether it was tinkering in the garage building things or having a fire in her little niche she had made among the trees. She was an avid lover of animals. She loved her precious Chloe Ann a big ole rottweiler she treated her like a child. I always would say she loved her Chloe more than us. Sadly, Chloe passed away in 2020. She leaves behind her precious Chester Copperpot, Sylvia Sparkle Lee, Pocket Snaggle Toothless, and little Miss Amber Rose, her cats.
She worked her whole life for us kids, going without to make sure we had what we needed in our lives. Always pushed us even after we became adults and had children of our own.
She touched many lives in her 64 years here on earth. If she made a difference in your life, please feel free to share a memory, so that we will have memories to hold forever.
In keeping with Trudy's wishes, funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of her family. Arrangements are under the caring guidance of the locally owned and family operated, Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, (next to the Masonic Lodge), 20 Bridge St., St. Johnsville, NY.
