Thomas M. Murphy

Mohawk – Thomas M. Murphy, 85 of Mohawk, NY passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2023.  He was surrounded by his beloved family.

He was born on September 15, 1937, in Hamilton, NY. Tom was a graduate of Ilion High School and earned his engineering degree from Chicago Technical Institute. For many years he was employed as an engineer for the former Library Bureau in Herkimer. He also owned and operated to 2 retail locations, Piccadilly Junction and Yankee Crafts.

Tom is survived by his loving wife Judith: sister, many children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In keeping with Tom’s wishes a celebration of life will be held on Friday April 14, 2023, at 11:00AM at the Mohawk Reformed Church, with Reverend Brian Engel, officiating. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are under the caring guidance of the Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service. 527 E Albany St., Herkimer, NY. All memorial contributions may be made to the Mohawk, Reformed Church, 20 S. Otsego St. Mohawk, NY 13407.
