Ilion - Sherry Krick 66, a longtime Ilion resident, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at the FoltsBrook Center, Herkimer, NY with her loving family by her side.
She was born on August 31, 1957, in Watsonville, California, the daughter of Carol (Smith) Rex and the late Lyman Rex. Sherry was a graduate of Ilion High School and furthered her education at the Utica School of Commerce.
On December 6, 1975, Sherry was united in marriage to David Krick.
For many years, Sherry was employed at the Valley Health Services as a cook and later as the Dietary Supervisor.
Sherry's life was centered around her family. She enjoyed spending time with her loved ones especially around the holiday season. In her leisure she enjoyed taking rides to the local casinos to test her luck. Sherry also enjoyed music and concerts, she was on the committee for Drums Along the Mohawk for many years, and her love and collection of Angel figurines.
Survivors include her loving husband of 47 years, David; her mother, Carol; three daughters, Heather (George) Watson of Ilion, Kelly (Keith) Marlowe of Malone and Tracey (Jeremy) King of Las Vegas, Nevada; two sons, David (Melissa) Krick of Dolgeville and Bryan (Robecca) Krick of Ilion; a sister, Kathy (Kim) Marlowe of Ilion; her grandchildren, Matthew ,Shauna, Daniel, Gabby, Tiffany, Keith Jr., Brandon, Brittany, Austin, Anna, David III, Breanna, Nicholas, Jordan, Miranda, Courtney, Hunter, Caleb and Callie; great grandchildren, Brandi, Brian, Isaiah, Jayden, Nova, Ryker and Eastyn ; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was pre-deceased by her son, Lauren Krick in 2022, a sister, Patricia Charles and two brothers, Brian Rex and David Rex.
A celebration of her life will take place at a date and time to be announced. Arrangements are under the caring guidance of the Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, (next to Hannaford Markets), 527 E. Albany St., Herkimer, NY.
