Sherman L. LaMont, Sr.

Town of Little Falls - Sherman L. LaMont, Sr., 73, of the Town of Little Falls, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at his home with his family by his side.

He was born on January 10, 1951, in Gloversville, NY the son of the late George and Ellen (Borst) LaMont. Sherman was a graduate of Gloversville High School.

Sherman was united in marriage to Donna Veeder in 1969 in Gloversville, NY.  The couple shared a blessed union of 54 years until the passing of Donna on November 23, 2023.

Sherman was last employed at the Adirondack Leather Mill in Johnstown, NY.

Survivors include his four daughters, Connie Morgan and husband Richard, Melissa Mikula and husband Frank, Shirley Ferguson and husband Harry and Tammy Quackenbush and husband Roger; two sons, Sherman LaMont, Jr. and wife Crista and Bruce LaMont;  his siblings, Carol Osgood, Albert LaMont, Peggy Cropanese (Frank), Robert LaMont (Malissa), Barbara LaMont,  his grandchildren, Alisha Morgan, Richard Morgan, Caitlyn Morgan, Denise Mikula, Amber Mikula Meghan Mikula, Jeremy Mikula, Kwayde Ferguson, Selena Ferguson, Carley Forsey, LuEllen Sudges , Brooke LaMont and Alison Sweet.  Several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brothers, John LaMont, Clifford LaMont, Donald Suman, George LaMont and Richard Lamont, and a granddaughter, Allyzibeth LaMont.

In keeping with Sherman's wishes funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of his family. Arrangements are under the caring guidance of the locally owned and family operated, Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, (next to Hannaford Markets), 527 E. Albany St., Herkimer, NY.
