Scott Kretser Obituary

 

St. Johnsville - Scott C. Kretser, 63, of the Town of Ephratah, St. Johnsville passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at Nathan Littauer Hospital, Gloversville, with his loving family by his side.

 He was born on October 21st, 1959, in Little Falls, the son of Conny (Hall) Battisti and stepfather Joseph Battisti as well as his father William Kretser. Scott was educated in St. Johnsville schools.

 Scott was employed at Tradesmen International in Albany as a construction worker.

Scott was a loving and caring son, father and grandfather. He always put the needs and concerns of his loved ones first. Scott enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and always looked forward in meeting new people.

 Scott loved Christmas movies and fishing; he was a kid at heart. He took great pride in his job and was a hardworking man who was proud of what he did. He loved fires at night, being outdoors, riding four wheelers, playing horseshoes with his dad, hunting with his father and stepbrothers, he was always active and always liked to stay busy. He enjoyed being by water even if it was just to listen to it running. He loved anything Chevy, making people smile with his goofy sense of humor. He was faithful to his church and even was the speaker for the church, his faith was strong. He loved the color red and always wore his favorite red hat; he also loved the color blue. He loved boating on lakes, he had an infectious smile you couldn't resist, and laughter that would make anyone smile.

 Survivors include his mother, Conny (Hall) Battisti and Dad Joseph Battisti of St. Johnsville, his father, William Kretser of Little Falls; his children, Shannon Gross, Coti (Hill) Reid and spouse Lavelle Reid, Nicholas Erkson, Denise Pierce, and Chelsea Kretser, his sisters, Kelley (Kretser) Thomas, Connie (Kretser) Schultz, Re’Nae Kelsey and spouse Carmen Sierra, Stacy (Hall) Lindsey and fiance Jake Blowers, and the children of his predeceased sister, Mickee (Pomeisl) Spencer and spouse Lucas Spencer, Nicholas Tripodi and spouse Kylie (Bowman) Tripodi, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren and great grandchild. Special friends Laura Bellinger and Kelly Dessureau.

 He was predeceased by his sister Elaine Kretser.

In keeping with Scott's wishes, funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of his family. Arrangements are under the caring guidance of the Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, (next to the Masonic Lodge), 20 Bridge St., St. Johnsville, NY.
