Sandra "Sandy" L. (Conrad) Barney

Herkimer - Sandra L. “Sandy” Barney, 71, of Herkimer and formerly of Fort Plain, passed away on Monday, November 10, 2025, after a brief illness.

She was born on October 30, 1954, in Fort Plain, the daughter of the late Louis and Caroline (Abeling) Conrad. Sandy was a graduate of Fort Plain High School.

She was married to John E. Barney Sr., who preceded her in death on May 4, 2014.

Sandy was last employed at Amsterdam Printing and Litho in Amsterdam, NY.

She enjoyed NASCAR, camping, and spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her son, John (Laurie) Barney; three daughters, Tina (Danny) Introne, Jodi Trumbull, and Tabby (Elwin) Dunkin; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Sandy was predeceased by her parents, Caroline and Louis Conrad, her loving husband, John Sr, and two brothers, Timmy and David Conrad.

In keeping with Sandy’s wishes funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of her family. Arrangements are under the caring guidance of the locally owned and family operated Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service (next to the Masonic Lodge) 20 Bridge St., St. Johnsville, NY.
