Rosemary Fohs

Rosemary Fohs, 64, passed away unexpectedly on April 27, 2022, in her hometown of llion, NY.
 

Rose was born on January 30,1958, in Hamilton, NY.

She attended Mohawk High School and graduated in 1977. She continued her education at Utica School of Commerce to study stenography. She later attended Herkimer Community College learning to be a teacher's aide. After graduating she worked for Remington Elementary as a teacher's aide.

Rose enjoyed giving the gift of love through her passion of baking, crafting and sewing. She would attend the Ilion farmers market weekly for years selling her bake goods and crafts. 
Rose was actively involved in the community through her church, First Baptist Church of llion. She volunteered as an EMT with M.O.V.A.C. She enjoyed dressing up with her husband as Santa and Mrs. Claus, bringing joy to kids. 
Mrs. Fohs is survived by her husband of 18 years Paul Fohs; her sisters, Claudia Roberts and Virginia (Red) Warham; Her sons, Jason Kane (Wendy Cooley) and Daniel and Hollie Kane; foster son, Michael Balderston; two stepsons, Shane and Buddy Fohs; her grandchildren, Hunter and Luna; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her Father, William Warham and Mother, Margaret (Mosher) Warham.
The family will be receiving relatives and friends on Saturday, May 7, 2022, from 10:00 and until 12:00 pm at the Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, (next to NBT Bank), 527 E. Albany St., Herkimer, NY 315-866-1500.  A prayer service will be offered at 12:00 pm with Rev. John Partise, of the Ilion First Baptist Church officiating.

A Celebration of Life will follow at the First Baptist Church of Ilion, 8 Second Street, Ilion, NY at 1pm.
