Rose Marie Jubar Obituary

St. Johnsville - Rose Marie Jubar, 86, a lifelong St. Johnsville resident, passed away peacefully on Sunday May 2, 2021 at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam, NY.

She was born June 20, 1934 in St. Johnsville, the daughter of the late Joseph LaCoppola (1979) and Anna (Zindell) LaCoppola (1992). Rose was a graduate of St. Johnsville High School, class of 1952.

On April 17, 1954, Rose was united in marriage to George R. Jubar at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in St. Johnsville. The couple shared a blessed union of 56 years until the passing of George on June 21, 2010.

Mrs. Jubar was last employed as a bus driver for the Little Falls - Fonda Bus Company in St. Johnsville. She collected taxes for the Town of St. Johnsville for several years. Prior to that, she served terms as St. Johnsville Town Supervisor and as St. Johnsville Town Clerk. Earlier, she worked in the office at the former Palatine Mills, and also the family business, LaCoppola’s Building Supply in St. Johnsville.

She was pre-deceased by Baby Girl LaCoppola (1952); William L. LaCoppola Sr (1983) and wife Dorothy; Franklin J. LaCoppola (1992); Anthony L. LaCoppola (2002) and wife Josephine; Joseph J. LaCoppola Jr (2007); Adelaide A. Battisti (2020) and husband Floyd and their daughters Dorothy and Joan, nephew, Paul John LaCoppola (age 3), and a brother-in-law, Richard Thomas.

Survivors include her children, Colleen and Tom Sorval, grandson Tyson Sorval and wife Trisha, great-grandchildren Tyler and Tavian; Craig and Helen Jubar, grandsons David Jubar, wife Sarah and great-granddaughter Penelope, Mark Jubar and wife Kallie, John Jubar, wife Ashley and great-granddaughter Charlotte, Ben Jubar and wife Katie; Renee and Wayne Heiser, daughter Nicole Heiser Lamphere, husband Colin and great-grandson Landon, daughter Vanessa Heiser and great-granddaughter Quinn. She is also survived by her siblings, Anne Thomas, Arthur J. LaCoppola; Raymond J. LaCoppola; Frederick P. LaCoppola and wife Kathy, and  Margaret Elizabeth DiGiacomo; numerous beloved nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. She is also survived by a lifelong family friend, Marilyn Martin, and extended family and numerous friends. Special thanks to friend Ronald Wiedenmayer for his loving care for her beloved dog Tucker.

Burial at Fort Plain Cemetery will take place at 10:00 am on 3 July. Following the burial, a Celebration of Life will take place at 12:00 at the Morris J. Edwards American Legion Post 168 in St. Johnsville. Arrangements are under the caring guidance of the Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, (next to the Masonic Lodge), 20 Bridge St., St. Johnsville, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to American Legion or The Friends of St. Johnsville for the Soldiers and Sailors park project.
