Rosann F. Barone

Mohawk - Rosann F. Barone 73, of Mohawk and a former Herkimer resident, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 20, 2024, at the Abraham House, Rome, NY.

She was born on November 12, 1950, in Ilion, NY the daughter of the late Frank A. and Mary M. (Pattala) Barone. Rosann was a graduate of Herkimer High School, class of 1968. She furthered her education at the Katherine Gibbs College in Boston, Massachusetts.

Roseann was last employed as the Purchasing Manager for the former Remington Arms in Ilion, NY. Prior to that, for many years, she was a Flight Attendant for many airlines, including American Airlines.

Rosann’s life was centered around her family. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and sister, who always put the needs and concerns of her loved ones first.

Survivors include her son, Thomas Barone and wife Maria Hartman Barone; two grandchildren, Gloria Genevieve Barone and Adrianna Elouise Barone; four sisters, Francine Barone, Melissa Verrill, Melinda Kisker and Jackie Barone; a brother, Donald Barone and wife Holly; nieces and nephews, Ashley Verrill, Taylor Barone, Carly Kisker and Chase Kisker; a great nephew, Ronin; and many cousins.

She was pre-deceased by her parents and an infant sister, Deborah Barone.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, September 27, 2024, at 10:00 am at St. Francis de Sales Church, N. Bellinger St., Herkimer, NY. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Herkimer, NY.  Per Rosann's request there are no calling hours. Arrangements are under the caring guidance of the privately owned and family operated, Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, (next to Hannaford Markets), 527 E. Albany St., Herkimer, NY.
