Herkimer –Robert G. Pine, 61, of Herkimer passed away unexpectedly from natural causes on Monday, December 30, 2024. He was greatly loved and will be missed by many.
Bob was born on April 17, 1963, in Utica, NY, the son of the late Gerald A. and Carol Jean (Clingen) Pine. Bob was a graduate of Whitesboro High School and attended Mohawk Valley Community College.
For over 30 years, Bob was a Residential Manager of the ARC of Oneida-Lewis County. He had gifted compassion for those at the ARC and loved taking care of his consumers. During his tenure at the ARC, he received several awards.
Bob had steadfast loyalty and dedication to his family. They were the center of his joy. He was a loving and caring father, grandfather, and brother who always put the needs and concerns of his loved ones first. In his leisure time, Bob enjoyed family camping trips, kayaking and had several hobbies which included collecting special things that he could share with his children. His greatest joy was spending countless hours with his grandchildren.
Bob is survived by his former wife, Melissa Lamanna-Beauchemin (husband Brian), mother-in-law, Linda O’keefe whom he remained close with and 3 children, daughter, Mikhayla Kuchenbacker and husband Kane of Herkimer, daughter, McKenzie Tangorra and husband Craig of Herkimer; a son, Riley Pine and girlfriend Abby O’Hara of Herkimer; four grandchildren, Merrick Kuchenbacker, Colson Kuchenbacker, Paisley Tangorra and Lainey Tangorra; a brother, David Pine and wife Sharon of Schuyler, brother-in-law, Robert Stover; nieces, Jennifer Maldonado, Cheryl Hamilton; nephew, Michael Stover all of New Hampshire, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and relatives, including Bob’s close friend, Kristin Yearby.
He was pre-deceased by a sister, Cindy Lee Stover.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 11:00 am at the Oak Ridge Free Methodist Church, 838 W. German St., Herkimer, NY. Pastor Christopher Schumske and Brother-In-Law Samuel Lamanna will be officiating. Arrangements are under the caring guidance of the locally owned and family - operated, Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, (next to Hannaford Markets), 527 E. Albany St., Herkimer, NY.
