Paula A. (Marollo) Frappier

Paula Frappier, longtime resident of Herkimer, NY, passed away peacefully on December 20th, 2025, with her family by her side.

Paula was born on July 21, 1949, at Herkimer Hospital to Paul and Elizabeth (Bifora) Marollo. She attended Herkimer High School and graduated with the class of 1967.

In 1970, she married the love of her life, Ernest “Richard” Frappier, and they shared more than 55 wonderful years. They built a beautiful life together and had three children.

Paula worked many jobs, retiring as a teacher’s aide from Herkimer High School, where she helped many children throughout her career.

Paula had the biggest heart and always put others’ needs before her own. She was a devout Catholic and attended St. Francis for many years. Paula loved the beach, which is where you could find her every spring, and she loved the Golden Girls.

Surviving are her husband, “Richie”; her baby girl, Danielle (Ken); one son, Jason; four granddaughters, Abigail “Sass” (Austin), Gabriella “Gab”, Alexis “Lexi Lou”, and Madysen “Tootsie”; three great-grandchildren, Adasyn “Dolly”, Karter “Little Bud,” and Audrey; and many grandpups. Also surviving are her beloved brother, Peter (Kathy); nephews, John (Lina) and Paul (Theo); great-nephew, Emilio; special cousins, Donny (Jess), Danny (Monique), and Donna (George); her “best foster daughter,” Alison (Kevin); her two best friends, Jackie and Kathy; and many dear family members from her husband’s side.

She is predeceased by her son, Adam “Bear”; her parents; her in-laws; her aunt, “Tisti” Lucy; and her lifelong friend, Marlene (Les).

A special thank-you to all “her girls” for taking care of her for the past year, as well as VHS.

Per her wishes, there will be no services. A celebration of Paula's life will take place on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 2:00 pm at the Herkimer Polish Club, 319 S. Washington St., Herkimer, NY.

Arrangements are under the caring guidance of the locally owned and family operated, Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service (next to Hannaford Markets), 527 E. Albany St., Herkimer, NY.
