Patricia Bell Obituary

Herkimer – Patricia Ann Bell, 61, of Herkimer passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 7, 2024, at her home with her loving family by her side.

She was born on September 18, 1962, in New Hartford, NY the daughter of the late Edward F. and Mary L. (Moscicke)  Bell, Sr.

Survivors include her five brothers, Edward F Bell Jr. and Teresa of Rome, Michael Bell and Clarissa of Herkimer, with whom she resided, William Lyness of Utica, Harry (Bud) Lyness, Jr. of Virginia, Edward and Deanna Lyness of Rome and sister- in-laws, Colleen (James) Lyness of Ilion and Lisa (Anthony) Bell of Utica.  She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was predeceased by her parents and siblings; Anthony J. Bell, Nancy (Bell) Treen, James and Thomas Lyness.

Patty joined Michael and Clarissa’s family after the passing of their mother in 2002. She became a part of all family activities and many joy filled memories were made through the years.  A very strong bond was created with Stephen, Michael and especially with Kaylyn. Patty was a beacon of light to our family and to all who knew her. Her love for music and dancing was a joy to witness. Although she will be sadly missed by all, our hearts are full knowing that she is reunited with her mom, dad and siblings in heaven.  

 Visitation will commence Saturday, February 3, 2024, at 10:00 AM, followed by a memorial mass at 11:00 AM at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 588 Albany Street, Little Falls, NY.  The Rev. Jack Whritenour officiating, Concelebrated by The Rev. Dr. Steven Scarcia.

 Burial will take place in the spring at Holy Trinity Cemetery Yorkville, NY.

Arrangements are under the caring guidance of Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, (Next to Hannaford Markets), 527 E. Albany St., Herkimer, NY.

The family wishes to express our deepest gratitude to the staff of Herkimer ARC (Gail W. Brown) and the Respite Programs at both Herkimer ARC and Valley Health Services.
