Little Falls -Pamela H. Rose, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 16,2024.
She was born on February 11,1943, in Ilion, NY the son of the late Joan (Hinchey) Hopkins and Francis Hopkins. Pamela graduated in 1960, from Ilion High School and attended Utica College of Syracuse University where she received her bachelor’s in English from there, she received a master's degree.
Pamela taught High School English for 32 years Westmoreland Central School, she then volunteered at a local cat shelter for many years and was a member of the Red Hats.
Pamela was known for her sharp intellect, quick wit, sense of humor and her love of animals. Pamela was a nurturing and loving mother, grandmother and beautiful soul that would help and defend anyone in need. Her radiant smile would light up any room she entered.
Survivors include her daughter, Susannah Rose (Kenneth Ginter), son Peter (Valerie) Rose, grandchildren Grayson Hammond, Peter Rose, Shane (Shelby) Rose, Landon and Lexi Ginter, Cassandra (Tyler) Daley, Bryanna (Ray) Morey, Sister, Erin Dunckel and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Peter Rose of 47 years, her brother Jeffrey Hopkins, brother-in-law Paul Rose and nephew Kenneth Treen.

In keeping with Pamela’s wishes, there will be no formal visitation or funeral service. A celebration of her life will be held at the convenience of her family. Arrangements are under the caring guidance of the locally owned and family operated, Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, (next to Hannaford Markets), 527 E. Albany St., Herkimer, NY.
