Nancy E. Gray

St. Johnsville - Nancy E. Gray, 64, a longtime St. Johnsville resident (Town of Oppenheim), passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Amsterdam, NY, with her loving family by her side.

She was born on July 3, 1961, in Little Falls, the daughter of the late E. Ernest and Esther (Beebe) Gray. Nancy was a graduate of Oppenheim-Ephratah High School.

Nancy worked all her life on the family farm in the Town of Oppenheim. She enjoyed many aspects of the farm but took much pride in her main task, tending to the calves.

Nancy’s life was centered around her family and spending time on the farm where she was her happiest. She enjoyed word searches, all types of puzzles, painting and any type of arts and crafts. In her later years, Nancy loved going to adult day care where she enjoyed spending time with all the new friends she made there.  Nancy always thought of other and always asked about everyone.

She is survived by her sisters, Carolyn Johnson and Joanne Gebhardt, and husband Karl; a brother, Dennis Gray; nieces and nephews-Emil Johnson, Susan Johnson-Choi (Robert), Craig Gebhardt, Kevin Gebhardt, Steven Gebhardt, Meaghan Harris (Alan), Justin Gray (Melissa), Kayla Bastedo (AJ) and Great nieces and nephews- Avery, Oliver, Emmie, Audrey, Owen and Grayson.

She was pre-deceased by two brothers, Frederick Gray and Edward Gray; a sister-in-law, Susan Gray and brother-in-law Jonny Johnson.

In keeping with Nancy’s wishes, funeral services and burial at Rural Park Cemetery will be held at the convenience of her family. Arrangements are under the caring guidance of the locally owned and family operated, Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service (next to the Masonic Lodge) 20 Bridge St., St. Johnsville, NY.
