Michael P. White

Mohawk - Michael P. White, 41 of Mohawk, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday July 20, 2019.

He was born January 6, 1978 in Little Falls the son of Catherine "Penny" (Eades) White and the late Robert J. White. Michael was a graduate of Herkimer High School, class of 1996.

A man with a strong faith in his Lord, Michael was an ordained minister and was the organist for the First Baptist Church in Ilion, NY.

Michael was a loving and caring father, son, brother, and uncle who enjoyed the quality time he spent with his family. He was very musical, and had a talent to play the piano and organ. His love of knowledge lead him into the study of Civil War history and to investigate his own genealogy. His other love was that for his pet cat and dog. In his leisure he enjoyed reading and crocheting.

Survivors include his mother, Catherine "Penny" White of Ilion; his daughter, Libbie White and her mother, Abby Burianek of Lincoln, Nebraska; a sister, Jessica White and her fiancé Fred Piperata II of Utica; two brothers, Michael F. McGuinness of North Carolina and Stephen White of Ilion; nieces and nephews; Taylor White, Mardi Grau, Mikayla Grau, Nylah White, Fred, Chris and Alex Piperata, Cameron and Bailey McGuinness; a great niece, EllaTheresa Hudson; several aunts, uncles and friends, including a special long time friend, Beth Ann Partise of Ilion.

He was pre-deceased by his grandparents including a special grandmother, Catherine Eades.

A memorial service for Michael will be held on Friday July 26, 2019 at 5:00 pm from the Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, (next to NBT Bank). 527 East Albany Street, Herkimer, NY with Reverend John Partise, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Ilion, NY. The family will be receiving relatives and friends at the funeral home on Friday July 26, 2019 from 4:00 pm until the time of the services at 5:00 pm.
