To Vivian and all of Mike's family and friends;  Mike is a gentle, caring beautiful spirit. He lived and loved unconditionally and was always there for anyone who knew him. Just like all who have posted here, the thing I'll miss most is his beautiful smile. It not only light up a room, it lit up all of Herkimer County.  Wait,  probably all of N.Y. State.  In the arms of the angels and always in my heart.XOXO

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starlight at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.

How truly blessed we all are to have had Mike in our lives.  As kids we would follow Mike anywhere, he would look out for us and keep us safe.  That never changed and neither did Mike. His unselfish and generous ways came natural to him.  He had more friends than anyone I know, and he thought we all knew each other if we knew him.  We all loved him and he will live and remain in our hearts forever.  Our deepest sympathies go out to his family and friends.

Mike was always good to my family.  He always had the biggest smile, the most warm laugh, and the most engaging and warm persona.  I will always cherish the memories I have of him and will strive to live my life as he did.  Always kind, always warm, always lending a hand.  He will be truly missed by everyone who ever came into contact with him.  My deepest sympathy to Mike's family and friends.  “Let no one weep for me or celebrate my funeral with mourning, for I still live as I pass to and fro through the mouths of men.” – Quintus Ennius His memory will carry on in the hearts and mouths of all who knew him.

Syd, Ruth, Viv, Chris, and Lisa,
Mike was a person unlike anyone I have ever known.  He loved you all with everything he had.  He lived his life to the fullest every single day and insisted those around him did the same.  He mended broken fences, he created new friendships, he planned for the future while living for today.  He was larger than life in everything he did.  He is unforgettable and an example to all who knew him.  Through the many years I have known him, our paths continued to cross.  Our lives constantly changing, one thing always remained.....our friendship.  I could call him anytime and know that he would always be there for me if I needed him to be.  It saddens me greatly knowing I can never do that again.  He will be someone I can never forget...mostly because no one who ever met him, who knew him, ever could.  Please find peace...he would insist on it. He needs to know you will continue to live your lives they way he lived his.
God Bless

Our friend Mike and our friend Mikey.  Always a big hug  and always a big kiss.  Always a good word for you and everyone.  Mike helped make the Saratoga Springs Jazz Festival so much fun, with his beer battered chicken, his and Lou's giant tarp and Mikes skills as a mixmaster along with his hilarious sense of humor.  You gotta love Mikey's M&M Peanut guy saxaphonist that welcomed everyone to the tarp.
We'll miss you Mikey, and even though the music won't sound so sweet anymore without you, we'll close our eyes and listen closely as we hear your voice again, see your smiling face, and feel you close to us.

I guess it's true that we take for granted that the people we care about are always going to be there.  But then, without a moment's notice they're gone forever.  Mike's morning greetings were so memorable and always started my day with a smile and great big "SALAMONE!" Even when I walked past his building he'd yell out the window.  There are no words that ever truly express how much Mike will be missed.  I'm so sorry for your loss.  Please know that it is felt by many.
