Town of Frankfort - Michael A. Jansen, 81, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 4, 2026.
He was born on September 30, 1944, in Kingston, NY, and was educated in Kingston schools.
Mr. Jansen was a United States Army veteran.
He was married to the former Barbara E. Nix who preceded him in death on November 8, 2023.
Michael was a roofer for many years and worked locally throughout New York State.
He is survived by his stepdaughter, Roni Donatello and husband, Nick; two stepsons, Bruce Markey and wife Cindy and Lee Markey; his step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
He was pre-deceased by a stepson, Scot Sadler.
In keeping with Michael’s wishes, funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of his family. Arrangements are under the caring guidance of the locally owned and family operated, Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service (next to Hannaford Markets), 527 E. Albany St., Herkimer, NY.
