Michael A. (Doc) Carona

Mohawk - Michael A. (Doc) Carona, 72, of Mohawk, NY (Town of German Flatts), passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at his home with his loving wife, Linda, by his side.

He was born on February 21, 1953, in Herkimer, the son of the late Ralph and Marian (Adams) Carona. Mike was a graduate of Mohawk High School, Class of 1972.

On June 30, 2007, Mike was united in marriage to Linda Clark at their residence.

For many years, Mike was employed at the Ketco Inc, of Albany, NY. Doing heavy highway construction.

Mike was the happiest when he was at his home, working around his yard and tinkering in his garage with his loyal canine companions, Haus and Dobber, following his every move.  

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Clark; a stepdaughter, Melissa DeTota and husband Justin; a stepson, Seth Morris and fiancee Jessica Rice; two sisters, Barbara Carona and Susan Carona; two grandchildren, Keleigh Nutt and Carson Morris; two nephews, Adam Scanlon, and Andy Hoag, two nieces Jennie Jacquays and Amy Glogowski and cousins.

He was pre-deceased by his son, Michael R. Carona.

A celebration of Mike’s life will take place at the Mohawk American Legion October 30, 2025 from 4 to 7 PM. Arrangements are under the caring guidance of the locally owned and family operated Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service (next to Hannaford Markets), 527 E. Albany St., Herkimer, NY.
