St. Johnsville - Maynard J. Baker, 67, a long time St. Johnsville resident, passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at his home.
He was born August 31, 1954 in Little Falls, NY the son of the late Howard and Shirley (Spoar) Baker and was educated in St. Johnsville schools.
For over 20 years, Maynard was employed at the Town of St. Johnsville with the Highway Department and finished his career as Town Superintendent. Maynard loved hunting and the outdoors as well as spending time with his daughters and his grandchildren. His life was full of love and he touched all who crossed his path. His passion (although he might not admit it) was helping people. He was often seen trimming bushes at the end of a drive to prevent accidents, or even plowing driveways for people that may not have a means, so they could get to work. Maynard was a man’s man and truly had a love for life and family.
