Mary Beth Hoage Obituary

Mary Beth Hoage, 50, of Richfield Springs and formerly of St. Johnsville, NY, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY.

Mary Beth was born on December 16, 1975, the daughter of the late Harry and Mary Jane (Smith) Hoage. She was a graduate of St. Johnsville High School and Herkimer County Community College.

Mary Beth meant the world to so many people. She was taken far too soon, leaving behind so many loved ones who will forever cherish her memory. She was one of the most caring and generous people we will ever know, touching countless lives with her kindness and compassion. She always put others before herself—except during family poker games, where she was as cutthroat and foul-mouthed as she needed to be to keep up with everyone, bringing laughter and unforgettable memories.  She was also a devoted Miami Dolphins fan, proudly and playfully cheering them on with a fierce loyalty and competitive spirit that matched her personality—always ready to defend her team no matter the score.

Mary Beth was also an animal lover and, over the years, shared that love with many beloved pups, as well as her special birds and lizards. She loved her grandchildren more than anything and treasured every moment spent with them—babysitting, playing chauffeur, and celebrating holidays, birthdays, and all of life’s special occasions. Over the years, she was the mentor and confidant of her nieces and nephews, always there with an open ear and good advice.

She is survived by her wife, Janis Littleboy; her son, Ryan Blush; and her three grandchildren, Landon Brockway, Ella Leskovar, and Jude Branck. She is also survived by her sisters, Lisa (Dale) Fassett, Diana (John) Armstrong, and Vanessa Hoage; as well as several aunts and uncles, including Jerri Lynn Smith, Gerald Smith, Jr., Theresa (Joe) Hill, Daniel (Christine) Hoage, Patricia (Bruce) Malone, and Jody Hoage; special cousins, including Kyle Smith, Monte and Mark Esposito; many nieces and nephews, including Marcus Esposito, Kara, Alex, and Marissa Hill, Rebecca Baker, Jessica Fahey, and Jenna LaJuett.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Jason Hoage and her niece Aria LaJuett.

Funeral services for Mary Beth will be held at Emanuel Episcopal Church in Little Falls on Saturday, June 20, 2026. Calling hours will begin at 2:30 p.m., with the service to follow at 3:00 p.m. A celebration of life will be held immediately afterward in the adjoining fellowship hall where a covered dish would be appreciated.  We encourage people to bring their favorite jersey to wear after the service to help celebrate Mary Beth.

Arrangements are under the caring guidance of the locally owned and family operated, Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service (next to the Masonic Lodge) 20 Bridge St., St. Johnsville, NY.
