Mary Hoke Obituary

Little Falls - Mary A. Hoke, 76, of Little Falls and formerly of Dolgeville passed away peacefully on Monday May 11, 2020 at the St. Johnsville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born February 9, 1944 in Little Rock, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Carl and Eva (Christman) Farber and was educated in Poland, NY schools.

Her marriage to Alfred C. Hoke took place on October 26, 1974 in Van Hornsville, NY.

Mary was last employed as a LPN for Lexington Center in Gloversville, NY. At one time she worked at the St. Johnsville Nursing Home.  In her earlier years, she was head of the banquet hall at the former General Herkimer Hotel in Herkimer.

​Mary loved unconditionally, supported her family, and made an impact on every life she touched. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She enjoyed tending her gardens and found much relaxation in painting.

Survivors include her loving husband of 45 Years, Alfred; a daughter, Cynthia Mihevc and husband Andy ; five sons, Dale W. Bouck, Jeffrey A. Hoke and wife Kelly, Eric S. Bouck, Kenneth S. Hoke and wife Tammy and James W. Hoke; two sisters, Joanne Sterling and husband Kevin and Carol Burdick and husband Larry; seven brothers, William Farber, Carl Farber and wife Iva, Christopher Farber and wife Kathy, Edward Farber and wife Becky, Hubert Farber and wife Robin, and Rick Farber; many grandchildren, several great grandchildren; her in-laws, Jack Hoke, Marguerite Hall, Helen Healey and Sharon Bosch; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In keeping with the COVID 19 restrictions, funeral services and burial at Rural Park Cemetery, will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the caring guidance of the Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, (next to NBT Bank), 527 East Albany St., Herkimer, NY.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Johnsville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, RFS Department, 7 Timmerman Ave., St. Johnsville, NY 13452.
