Marguerite (Rowland) Tulloch

Ilion - Marguerite Tulloch, 85, a longtime Ilion resident, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at the Sitrin Health Care Center, Town of New Hartford, with her loving family by her side.

She was born on July 27th, 1939, in the Town of German Flatts, NY the daughter of the late Ted and Sophie (Nemyj) Rowland. Marguerite was a graduate of Ilion High School.

She was married to Richard W. Tulloch, Sr. In 1958 at the Annunciation Church in Ilion, NY.

For many years, Marguerite was a Pharmacy Technician at the former Rite Aid Drug Store in Ilion, NY.

Marguerite’s life was centered around her family. She was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed the quality time she spent with her children and her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Richard; a loving, caring daughter, Kim Catalina and husband James; sons, Randy Tulloch and Robine Snow and Robbie Tulloch; a sister, Loretta Gilhart; a sister in law Janet Edwards; goddaughter Tracy Mannix; her grandchildren, Christine Perez-Clarke and husband Stephan; Jessica Trevino and husband Ramy; Lynsey Adamo and husband Kyle; Marcus Catalina and Shelby Hill; her great-grandchildren EJ, Emilie, Anthony, Ashley, Sophie and Blake; and her great-great-granddaughter Leona; and many nieces and nephews.

She was pre-deceased by a son Richard W. Tulloch, Jr. on April 14, 2015, great-grandson Leo in April of 2016 and a special grand-dog Maggie in Nov of 2023.

The family will be receiving relatives and friends on Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the locally owned and family operated, Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service (next to Hannaford Markets), 527 E. Albany St., Herkimer, NY. A prayer service will follow at 1:00 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please make all memorial contributions to either the American Parkinson Disease Association, P.O. Box 61420, Staten Island, NY 10306, or to the 21 Club of CNY, Inc., 28 Danberry Road, New Hartford, NY 13413 or on the website https://www.the21club.org. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

The family would like to send a sincere thank you to all of the staff in the Mulberry house at Sitrin for all the love and care provided to Marguerite for the last 2 years. There are a certain few staff that hold a special place in her heart.
