Lora Nobile

Herkimer - Lora Nobile, 57, of Herkimer and formerly of Mohawk passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at the Abraham House in Utica, NY.

She was born on June 28, 1966, in Herkimer the daughter of the late Louis and Sarah (Colwell) Nobile. Lora was a graduate of Notre Dame High School and furthered her education at Herkimer County Community College. Lora spent many years as an office manager for car dealerships around the area.          

For past few years, Lora was residing in Florida, working as a Home Health Aide. Lora loved the beach and enjoyed her time in Port Orange, Florida.

Lora was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren cooking and with her beloved four-legged son, Sprocket.

Survivors include her biological mother, Jeanne (Colwell) Murphy and her husband William; her brother Billy Murphy; her daughter, Samantha Nobile and fiancé Andrew Shipman; her grandson, Ayson Shipman, granddaughter, Willow Stisi; and aunts and uncles, Jeannette Clapper, David and Maryanne Nobile and Patricia and Joseph Castellano; and many cousins; her guardian angels, Rebecca Eichelberger and Maria Brindisi; and her beloved hospice care nurses.

She was pre-deceased by a brother, Charles Goodsill.

In keeping with Lora’s wishes, a celebration of her life at the Dolgeville Rod & Gun Club will take place on February 11th from 1-3pm. Arrangements are under the caring guidance of the Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, (next to Hannaford Markets), 527 E. Albany St., Herkimer, NY.
