Lois D. (Foster) Sammons

St. Johnsville - Lois D. Sammons, 93, of St. Johnsville passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at the Wilkinson Residential Health Care Facility, Amsterdam, NY.

She was born on December 14, 1932, in Johnstown, NY, the daughter of the late Clarence and Emily (Burton) Foster. Lois was a graduate of Johnstown High School.

On August 30, 1952, Lois was united in marriage to David R. Sammons at the Presbyterian Church in Johnstown, NY. The couple shared a blessed union of 66 years until the passing of David on April 27, 2019.

For many years, Lois was a school bus aide for the Brown Bus Company in St. Johnsville, NY.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Blanchard of Amsterdam; two grandchildren, Keith M. Trickler, Jr and Elias S. Sammons; four great grandchildren; a son-in-law, Ron Krupa; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was pre-deceased by her daughter, Lorraine C. Krupa.

The family will be receiving relatives and friends on Monday, February 16, 2026, from 3 - 5 pm at the locally owned and family operated, Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, (next to the Masonic Lodge) 20 Bridge St., St. Johnsville, NY 518-568-7040.  A prayer service will follow at 5:00 pm in the chapel of the funeral home, with Rev. Tom Jones, officiating. Spring burial will be in Ephrathah Rural Cemetery.
