Fort Plain – Linda M. Rivkowich, 76, of the Town of Minden, passed away peacefully on Monday January 25, 2021 at Little Falls Hospital.
She was born June 9, 1944 in Tuckahoe, NY the daughter of the late Fritz and Bertha (Swarz) Surtmann and was a graduate of Tuckahoe High School.
Linda was married to Harold Rivkowich who preceded her in death.
For over 30 years, Linda ran an antique business in several locations throughout the local area. Linda enjoyed antique shows, flea markets, and antique auctions. She was a member of the Mid-County Volunteer Ambulance Corps for many years.
As matriarch of the family, Linda’s life was centered around the well being of her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed antiquing and in her earlier years enjoyed crocheting and several other crafts. She enjoyed her home and loved tending to her many house plants.
She is survived by a daughter, Sandra J. Molidor and her husband Peter of Illinois; two sons, David Rivkowich and wife Gail of Fort Plain and Jason H. Rivkowich and wife Micala of Draper, Utah; 8 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was pre-deceased by a son, Robert M. Rivkowich and her siblings.
In keeping with Linda’s wishes a graveside service will take place in the spring at West St. Johnsville Cemetery at a time to be announced. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are under the caring guidance of the Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, (next to the Masonic Lodge) 20 Bridge St., St. Johnsville, NY.
