Linda D. Brown

St. Johnsville - Linda D. Brown, 81, a longtime St. Johnsville resident passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown, NY, with her loving family by her side.

She was born on September 17, 1944, in Utica NY, the daughter of the late Evan and Doris (Smith) Brown. Linda was educated in St. Johnsville High School.

Linda was last employed at Gehring Tricot Corp. In Dolgeville, NY.  Prior to that, she worked at the former Daniel Green Shoe Factory in Dolgeville, NY.

Linda was a loving and caring sister and aunt who enjoyed the quality time she spent with her loved ones. She enjoyed singing and was part of the Happy Valley Gang Band and most recently The Fox Creek Band.

She is survived by her sisters, Debra Brown, Paula (Teenie) Brown; her brothers, Gary Brown, Philip (Curly) Brown and wife Toni, Walter Brown and wife Bea, Russell Brown and wife Billie Jo, Raymond Brown and wife Karen, Timothy Brown and wife Pat; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was pre-deceased by her sisters, Sharon Brown, Jacqueline Brown, and Claudia Manchester; her brothers, Steven Brown and Leslie Brown; and her sister-in-law Pauline Brown.

The family will be receiving relatives and friends on Monday, December 22, 2025, from 4 - 6 pm at the locally owned and family operated, Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service (next to the Masonic Lodge), 20 Bridge St., St. Johnsville, NY. A short prayer service will follow at 6:00 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please make all memorial contributions to Aryes Memorial Animal Shelter, 133 Hilltop Road, Sprakers, NY 12166. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. The family would like to invite family and friends to a celebration of life on January 24, 2026, from 1-4 PM at the H. C. Smith Benefit Club, 538 Crum Creek Rd, St Johnsville, NY 13452.
