Larry Gray Obituary

St. Johnsville - Larry E. Gray, 78, of 217 Thumb Road, St. Johnsville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 9, 2023, in his home surrounded by his loved ones.

Larry was born on December 6, 1944, in Little Falls the son of the late Emmett and Leah Gray and was educated locally.

His marriage to Louise Ponzi took place on July 20, 1963, at St. Patrick's Church in St. Johnsville. The couple shared in a blessed union of marriage of almost 60 years.

For 31, years, Larry was employed at Remington Arms in Ilion, where he was a gun maker.

Survivors include his wife Louise; a son, Larry Gray, Jr. and wife Tenna of Palatine Bridge; a daughter, Robin Montanaro and husband Steve of Tarpon Springs, Florida; grandchildren, Chad Salls and wife Amanda of Little Falls, Erika Haggerty and fiancé Jared Snell of Little Falls, Samantha Snyder and husband Jeremy of Amsterdam, and Brandee Gray of Fort Plain; great grandchildren, Connor, Callen and Camden Salls, Ava and Sophie Haggerty, Jaylynn Snell and Barrett Snyder; many nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.

He was pre-deceased by two sisters, Marjorie Gray and Virginia VanValkenbourgh.

In keeping with Larry's wishes cremation will take place. There are no calling hours. A celebration of Larry's life will follow at a later date. Arrangements are under the caring guidance of the Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, (next to the Masonic Lodge), 20 Bridge St., St. Johnsville, NY.
