Joseph A. Mitchell

Mohawk - Joseph A. Mitchell, 61, of Mohawk passed away on Tuesday May 4, 2021 at Little Falls Hospital.

He was born March 30, 1960 in Herkimer the son of the late Helen Boutain and was educated in Mohawk schools.

Mr. Mitchell was a United States Navy veteran, enlisting on October 30, 1981 and was honorably discharged on October 29, 1985 with the rank of BM2 (boatswain's mate second class).

Joe was last employed in the maintenance department of the Masonic Home in Utica, NY. For many years he was a self employed carpenter owning Mitchell & son contracting.

Survived by his son, Joseph A. Mitchell; his long time friend, Pamela Harvey; sisters, Dorothy Seamon, Carol Duncan, and Debbie Schorer; brothers, Michael Luchock, Harold Mitchell and Leon Luchock; several nieces, nephews, and cousins

He was pre-deceased by a brother, Kenny Mitchell.

In keeping with Joe's wishes, funeral services and burial at Mt. View Memorial Gardens will be private and held at the convenience of his family. Arrangements are under the caring guidance of the Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, (next to NBT Bank), 527 E. Albany St., Herkimer, NY.
