Joseph J. Fiacco

Herkimer – Joseph J. Fiacco, 95, of Herkimer, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Albany Medical Center, Albany, NY.

He was born on August 29, 1930, in Potsdam, NY, the son of the late Joseph and Helen (Mosher) Fiacco. Joe was a graduate of Potsdam High School.

For many years, Joe was employed as a Sales Manager for the Prudential Insurance Company.

Mr. Fiacco was a member of St. Francis de Sales Church and a member of the former St. Anthony’s Crusaders.

Joe found much relaxation in playing golf throughout the many golf courses in the Mohawk Valley.

He is survived by his daughter, Mary Jane McMahon and husband Sean of Ilion; his son, David Fiacco and wife Kristen of Anchorage, Alaska; five grandchildren, Joshua McMahon, Keith McMahon, Maureen McMahon, Emily Ogilvie – Fiacco and Aidan Ogilvie – Fiacco; a one great grandchild, Clemence Tandle – McMahon; and several nieces and nephews.

He was pre-deceased by a sister, Virginia Spring; and two brothers, William Fiacco and Alan Fiacco.

In keeping with Joe’s wishes, funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of his family. Arrangements are under the caring guidance of the locally owned and family operated, Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service (next to Hannaford Markets) 527 E. Albany St., Herkimer, NY.
