Joseph W. Benedict

Herkimer - Joseph W. Benedict, 78, of Herkimer, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Wynn Hospital, Utica, NY.

He was born on June 10, 1947, in Albany, NY, the son of the late Joseph M. and Margery D. (Levings) Benedict. Joe was a graduate of Albany High School.

For many years, Joe was employed by Peter Macri Paving in Herkimer, NY.

He is survived by his daughter, Marirose Benedict and husband Kevin Accetta, and a granddaughter, Marigold Accetta.

In keeping with Joe’s wishes, services will be private and held at the convenience of his family. Arrangements are under the caring guidance of the locally owned and family operated, Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service (next to Hannaford Markets), 527 E. Albany St., Herkimer, NY.
