John Mancuso Obituary

 

Herkimer – John D. Mancuso, 75, a longtime resident of Herkimer and Cape Coral, FL passed away peacefully at the Abraham House in Rome, NY on Thursday, February 2, 2023.

 He was born on January 13, 1948, in Herkimer, the son of the late Julian and Pearl (Sweet) Rulewicz and was educated in Herkimer schools.

 Mr. Mancuso was a United States Navy Veteran, enlisting on January 21, 1965, and was honorably discharged on January 10, 1969, with the rank of AE3.

 John was united in marriage to the former Lori McCumber in Herkimer, NY.

 John was last employed for the Herkimer County Corrections, where he held the position of chef.

 Survivors include his children, Mitchell Mancuso and wife Sara of Cape Coral, FL; Amy Czaster and husband Mathew of Ft Myers, FL; and Megan Anderson and husband Brian of Milton, GA; his wife, Lori of Herkimer;  a step-son, Vincent M. Enea and wife Sarah of Ilion; sisters, Sandra Zeman of Herkimer; Linda Hickey of Ilion; and Mary Rulewicz and husband Keith of WA; a brother, Robert Rulewicz and wife Sandra of Wolcott, CT; his grandchildren, Maevyn, Maddox, Ava, August, Weston, Mathew and Luke; step-grandchildren, Vivienne, Josephine, Antonia, Lucia and Enzo; His Aunt Louisa and Uncle Joe; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was pre-deceased by a son, J.D. Rulewicz.

 In keeping with John’s wishes there will be no public services.  He will be honored as a Naval Veteran privately at Gerald H.B. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY at the convenience of his family members, along with a Celebration of Life. Arrangements are under the caring guidance of the Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, (next to Hannaford Markets), 527 E. Albany St., Herkimer, NY.
