Joann (Bonk) Weiner

Little Falls - Joann Weiner, 73, a lifelong Little Falls resident, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 3, 2023, at Little Falls Hospital, with her loving family by her side.

She was born on May 20, 1950, the daughter of the late Chester and Rosemary (Cunningham) Bonk. Joan was a graduate of St. Mary's Academy and furthered her education, graduating from Utica College.

On May 20, 1972, Joann was united in marriage to Michael Weiner at the former St. Mary's Church in Little Falls, NY.

For over 50 years Joann was employed in the Business Office of Little Falls Hospital, as a computer supervisor.

Joann was a loving and caring mother, wife, grandmother, and sister. Her life was centered around her loved ones, always putting the needs and concerns of her family first. In her leisure, she enjoyed her trips to the local casinos, testing her luck of chance.

Survivors include her loving husband of 51 years, Michael; her devoted daughter, Cindy Mullen of Little Falls; her cherished grandchildren, Carley Brodt and husband Jay, Nicholas Camarata, and Ciearra Camarata and partner Amber; her sisters, Peggy Paparella and husband Donald of Little Falls, Vicky Bagley of Sidney, NY, Mary Ladouceur of Little Falls, and Noreen Robbins of Selinsgrove PA; her brothers, Anthony Bonk of Herkimer and Robert Bonk of Little Falls, her faithful companion Missy; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Joann was predeceased her parents Rosemary and Chester and her two brothers Stanley and Michael Bonk.

The family will be receiving relatives and friends on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, (Next to Hannaford Markets), 527 E. Albany St., Herkimer, NY. A prayer service will take place on Thursday, August 10, 2023, at 11:00 am in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Town of Herkimer, NY. In lieu of flowers, please make all memorial contributions to the American Lung Association, National Direct Response, PO Box 756 Osceola WI 54020-0756. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
