Jennifer Renee (Gros) Houle

Rensselaer – Jennifer Renee (Gros) Houle, 53, of Rensselaer, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 29, 2024, at St. Peters’ Hospital, Albany, NY with her loving family and friends by her side.

She was born on April 17, 1970, in Herkimer the daughter of Craig Gros and the late Patricia (D’Arcangelis) Gros. Jennifer was a graduate of Herkimer High School and also attended Russell Sage College.

Jennifer was last employed as an Account Manager for Comfortex in Albany, NY.

Survivors include her father, Craig of Herkimer; a son, Brendan Houle of Rensselaer; a brother, Christopher Gros; one niece, two nephews, several aunts, uncles and cousins including special cousin, Angela VanNostrand; and many close friends that were always there for Jennifer with help and support.

She was pre-deceased by her mother, Patricia on May 9, 2006.

The family will be receiving relatives and friends on Saturday, February 3, 2024, from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at the Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, (next to Hannaford Markets), 527 E. Albany St., Herkimer, NY. A prayer service will follow at 2:00 pm. Burial at Fort Plain Cemetery will be private and held at the convenience of her family. In lieu of flowers, please make all memorial contributions to St. Peter’s Hospital Foundation, 310 South Manning Blvd, Albany, NY 12208. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the Doctors, Nurses, of St. Peter’s Hospital for the care and compassion shown to Jennifer and her family during this difficult time. Also, a special thank you to Dr. Thomas Schumacher for the compassionate care shown to Jennifer over the many years.
