Jeffrey Riesel Obituary

Ilion – Jeffrey S. Riesel, 50, of Ilion, Passed away unexpectedly from natural causes on Wednesday, February 23, 2022.

He was born on October 18, 1971, in New Hartford, NY, the son of Daniel Riesel and Constance (Hadsell) Birdsall. Jeff was a graduate of Ilion High School.

He is married to the former Melissa Stanek.

Jeff worked in the construction trade for many years.

Survivors include his mother, Constance (Bill) Birdsall; his father, Daniel (Mary) Riesel; his wife Melissa Riesel; his sons, Jeffrey Riesel, Daniel Riesel and Brent Riesel; two brothers, Peter Riesel and Christopher Lucas; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Jeff’s life will take place at Crossways in Ilion on Sunday, February 27, 2022, at 1pm. Arrangements are under the caring guidance of the Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service (next to NBT Bank), 527 E. Albany St., Herkimer, NY.
