Jeannette L. Emerson

Town of Palatine – Jeannette L. Emerson, 86, of the Town of Palatine, NY passed away peacefully on Sunday December 13, 2020 at Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown, NY.

She was born September 23, 1934 in Garland, Maine, the daughter of the late Henry and Martha (Weems) LaCourse and was educated in Salem, New Hampshire.

Jeannette was united in marriage to Russell P. Emerson on September 30, 1950 in Massachusetts. The couple shared a blessed union of 50 years until the passing of Russell on December 25, 2000.

For over 30 years, Jeannette along with her husband worked on the family farm in Massachusetts.

She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Robinson of Plaistow, NH and Lorene Comeau and her husband Peter of Andover, Mass; her sons, Bradley Emerson and his wife Suzanne of Perth, Australia, Glenn Emerson and his wife Laura of Mason, Texas and Dale Emerson of Asheboro, NC, her siblings, Helene Faxton  of Massachusetts, Douglas Lacourse and his wife Jean of NH, Donald LaCourse and his wife Cindy of NH and Andrea Robinson of NH; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was pre-deceased by her son, Russell S. Emerson of October 5, 2015 and a daughter-in-law, Robin Emerson on March 8, 2016.

In keeping with Jeannette’s wishes funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of her family. Arrangements are under the caring guidance of the Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, (next to the Masonic Lodge), 20 Bridge St., St. Johnsville, NY.
