Jane Law Watts residing in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina formerly of Herkimer, NY passed away August 12, 2023, peacefully at home. An amazing mother, sister and wife. She loved the Adirondacks and its rich history.
She was born May 2, 1938, in Lowville, NY to the late Charles Law and Elizabeth Blair Law. Raised in Herkimer and attended Herkimer schools and Emma Willard School in Troy, NY as well as Becker College in Massachusetts.
In 1958, she married Warren “Moose” Keyes and raised 5 children. Jane was a devoted mother and operated The Flower Shoppe in Herkimer in addition to many years in the retail business.
In 2011 she married Ed Watts in San Diego, CA. They both summered for years at the family vacation home in Otter Lake, NY. and spent winters in South Carolina.
She is predeceased by a loving son Kevin Michael Keyes and her brother Pierce Law.
Surviving include her husband, Ed Watts; her brother, Blair Law; her son, Warren James Keyes Jr. his wife Christine; daughter, Kathleen Amidon and her husband Bob; son, Terrance Keyes and his wife Stacie; son, Brian Keyes and his wife Diane. Grandchildren, Amy Mctighe, Jennifer Hart, James Hart, Lindsey Tapping, Craig Keyes, Alex Keyes, Kaitlyn Keyes, Dr. Kristen Keyes, Mitchell Keyes, Reid Keyes and Eduardo Keyes. Great children, Brendun Blasingame, Ethan Tapping, Emma Tapping, Malcom Keyes, and Kevin Keyes.
A Catholic Mass will be offered at St. Mary of the Snows, Route 28 Otter Lake, NY, Friday, August 25, 2023, at 11am followed by a celebration of life at the White Lake Inn, Route 28, Woodgate, NY. She will rest eternally at Oak Hill Cemetery with her parents and grandparents at the convenience of her family. Local arrangements are under the caring guidance of the Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, (next to Hannaford Markets), 527 E. Albany St., Herkimer, NY.
