She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and joyful memories. A beloved daughter, sister, aunt, great-aunt, great-great-aunt, and cousin, Helen's warmth and bright spirit touched everyone who knew her.

She was born on February 11, 1948, in Herkimer, the daughter of the late Honorable Alfred A. and Helen M. (Garlock) Manieri, Sr. Helen was a graduate of Herkimer High School, class of 1966. She furthered her education at Utica School of Commerce, graduating with a major in Business Administration. She was of the Catholic faith.

Helen was a sales associate and department head for the former Nichols Department Store and later PharmHouse in Herkimer. Following her retirement from PharmHouse, Helen dedicated many years as a receptionist at Advanced Technologies in Herkimer.

In her later years, Helen became a resident of Valley Health Services, where she formed a special bond with the staff. Their kindness and care brought her comfort and happiness. Helen’s love for them was as boundless as the love she shared with her own family.

Helen was a loving and caring sister and aunt. She enjoyed the quality time she spent with her family and was especially happy when she was around her nieces and nephews. Helen also leaves behind many special family and friends including Dominick Stalteri and Stefano (Steve) Napolitano.  She was guided home to the Lord by those who predeceased her including her parents and nephew, Jeffrey Manieri.

The family would like to extend their sincerest thanks to the staff at Valley Health Services and Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown for the knowledgeable, compassionate, and thorough care they provided to Helen in her final weeks.
