Gloria I. Wheet

Herkimer - Gloria I. Wheet 87, of Herkimer and formerly of Horseheads, NY passed away peacefully on Sunday March 1, 2020 at the FoltsBrook Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation.

She was born April 23, 1932 in Dryden, NY the daughter of the late Arthur and Edna (Armstrong) King and was educated locally.

Gloria was last employed at the Milbrook Bread Co. in Elmira Heights, NY.

She was fortunate to have the love of three generations and will always be remembered as a devoted mother and grandmother to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who adored her. She did everything she could for her loved ones.

Survivors include two sons, Gary Wheet and wife Susan of Herkimer, and Mark Wheet and wife Sarah of Plattsburgh, NY; her grand children, Toby, Jody, Corey, Kathleen, Michelle, and Toni; and 11 great grandchildren.

She was pre-deceased by her son, Thomas Wheet and her granddaughters, Stephanie and Tara Wheet.

In keeping with Gloria's wishes funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the caring guidance of the Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, (next to NBT Bank), 527 East Albany St., Herkimer, NY.
