George E. Becker, Sr.

Fort Plain - George E. Becker, Sr., 66, of Fort Plain (Town of Danube), passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at home with his devoted family by his side.

He was born on July 9, 1958, in Ilion, NY the son of the late Edward D. and Victoria (Boyer) Becker and was educated in Mohawk schools.

George was last employed at the Empire Recycling Plant in Utica, NY.

Survivors include his daughter, Maggie Becker; son, George E. Becker, Jr., his grandchildren; Angelina, Isaiah, Timothy, Nevaeh, Kayleigh, and Kyle; his sisters, Nancy (Jim) Cotton and Ella Mae Becker and Jackie Gardner; his brothers; Edward (Julie) Brewer, Richard (Kathy) Brewer, and Jonathan Becker: the mother of his children, Roseann Wicks; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was pre-deceased by his sisters, Earline Howard, Barbara Irizary and Sharon Rogers, and his brothers, John Becker, Edwin Becker and Edward Becker.

A celebration of George's life will be November 10, 2024, at 1pm at the Frankfort American Legion Post # 845 at 128 S. Litchfield St. Family and friends are welcome. Arrangements are under the caring guidance of the locally owned and family operated, Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service (next to Hannaford Markets), 527 E, Albany St., Herkimer, NY.
