Edward Thomas Perry was born in Albany, New York on August 4, 1943. He is predeceased by his parents, Randolph Alfred Perry and Helen (Meade) Perry of Mohawk, New York.
Edward is survived by his first wife Celia (Pettinella) Perry, and their three children: Andrea Perry (David) Bodden, Chad Perry and Brad (Melissa) Perry, and his six grandchildren: Brianna, Charisma, Catrina, Brady, Brody and Bryce. He is also survived by his second wife.
In his early years, Edward grew up working hard as a farmhand, he loved animals, and enjoyed sports. He was talented enough to be scouted by a major league baseball team, and he played semi-professional football too. Edward is a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces and served as a military police officer. During his career, Edward had a knack for numbers and became a computer programmer, he then started E-Z Communications specializing in teleprinters (predecessor to the fax machine), he acquired a small engine repair shop, a hardware store, he tried his hand at auto sales, farm equipment, and several other business endeavors.
Edward’s greatest love was his family. He thoroughly enjoyed the time he got to spend with his children and grandchildren, telling stories, sharing life lessons, watching the beautiful wildlife near his home, attending the kids’ sports and other school activities.
On November 8, 2021, Edward passed away peacefully with his son Chad by his side.
