Edward J. Austin

St. Johnsville - Edward J. Austin, 77, of St. Johnsville passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at Little Falls Hospital with his loving Family by his side. 

He was born on September 8, 1947, in Amsterdam, NY the son of the late Peter E. and Florence B. (LaBarr) Austin. Ed was a graduate of Little Falls High School. 

Mr. Austin served his county in the United States Army and United States Marine Corps.  

On August 8, 1987, Ed was united in marriage to Judith Pollard. 

Ed was last employed at the former Fiberglass Industry Co. in Amsterdam, NY.  

Survivors include his loving wife of 37 years, Judith; his sister; Jane (Eric) Unright; his step-children; William (Deanna) Windecker, Jr., Alvin (Toni) Montana II and Michelle Irwin;  step-grandchildren, William Windecker III, Reese Windecker, Page Deluca (Ron Pinkoski) , Ashton Montana, Isabella Montana, Ainsley Irwin, Braedan Irwin and Keain Irwin; nephews; Matthew (Sarah) Unright, Daniel (Lindsey) Unright and Paul Unright; and four great nieces, Natalie, Amelia, Hadley and Evelyn. 

Ed loved spending time with his wife. Ed’s passion was watching old military movies. Ed will be missed by his family and loved ones.

He was pre-deceased by a brother Peter C. Austin on December 25, 2019. 

In keeping with Ed's wishes, funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of his family. Arrangements are under the caring guidance of the locally owned and family operated, Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, (next to the Masonic Lodge), 20 Bridge St., St. Johnsville, NY.
