Donald M. Crouse

St. Johnsville - Donald M. Crouse, 90, a lifelong St. Johnsville resident, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, with the love and support of his family at the home of his daughter, Beth Kramer in Fayetteville, NY.

 He was born on November 21, 1931, in St. Johnsville the son of the late Adam and Beatrice (Smith) Crouse and was a graduate of St. Johnsville High School.

He was married to Macel (Pepper) Aney on May 23, 1958.  The couple shared a blessed union of 43 years until the passing of Pepper on December 6, 2001.

 For many years, Donny was the manager for the former Lenz Hardware in St. Johnsville, NY.

 Donny's life was centered around his loved ones. He cherished the time he spent with his children and especially his grandchildren. When he wasn't with his devoted family, Donny could be found at Stewarts, catching up with the daily events and visiting with the "gang". The family will always be grateful to Wayne Looman for the loving care he showed Donny throughout the years.

 Survivors include his daughters, Beth Kramer and husband William of Fayetteville and Diane Oakley and husband Gordon of Hagaman; his grandchildren, Jason Kramer of Fayetteville, Jessica Kramer Stewart and husband Ben of Arvada CO, Christopher Oakley and wife Elisa of Rotterdam, NY, Sarah Oakley Hagaman and fiancé Stephen Barrie of Whitesboro, great grandchildren, Aliyah Watson (13), Harper Kramer (7), Olivia Oakley (2) and Lewis Stewart (5 months), a brother, Raymond Crouse of Santa Ana, California; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

 He was predeceased by a sister, Lois Moskey on March 12, 2014, and a brother, Adam Crouse, Jr. on April 18, 2007.

 A graveside service at West St. Johnsville Cemetery and a celebration of Donny's Life will take place later in the spring at a time to be announced. Arrangements are under the caring guidance of the Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, (next to the Masonic Lodge), 20 Bridge St., St. Johnsville, NY 518-568-7040.

 The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the Hospice of Central New York for the care and compassion shown to Donny's family the past few months.
