St. Johnsville - Diana L. Dutcher, 76, a longtime St. Johnsville resident passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown, NY.
She was born on September 9, 1949, in Little Falls, NY the daughter of the late Elmer and Madeline (Garlock) Sponable. Diana was a graduate of St. Johnsville High School.
On September 17, 1977, Diana was united in marriage to James R. Dutcher in St. Johnsville, NY.
Diana was last employed at the former Cumberland Farms Market in St. Johnsville. Prior to that, she worked at the former Burrows Paper Mill and Vincent Manufacturing in Little Falls.
She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, James of St. Johnsville; two nieces, Melissa (Sponable) Zawtocki and husband Greg of Latham, and June (Sponable) DuBois and husband Kirk of St. Johnsville.
She was pre-deceased by her brother, Gary Sponable on December 20, 2022.
Burial at Ephratah Rural Cemetery will take place at the convenience of her family. Arrangements are under the caring guidance of the locally owned and family operated Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service (next to the Masonic Lodge) 20 Bridge St., St. Johnsville, NY.
