Clinton Dalton Loomis

Ilion - Clinton Dalton Loomis, 79, a longtime Ilion resident, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 30, 2024, at The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Ilion, NY.

He was born on June 29, 1945, in Henderson, NY the son of the late Merlin and Isabelle (Treen) Loomis. Clinton was a graduate of Mohawk High School.

Mr. Loomis was a United States Navy veteran, during the Vietnam Conflict.

Survivors include three sons, Timothy Loomis, Michael Loomis and Shawn Loomis; three sisters, Patricia (Ronald) Spacapan, Ima Harrig and Michael Harrig, and Rita Loomis and Kevin Hall; four brothers, Grant (Eileen) Loomis, David Loomis, Ronald (Pamela) Loomis and Earl (Sheri) Loomis; many nieces and nephews.

He was pre-deceased by two brothers, Merlin Loomis Jr. and Irving Loomis.

In keeping with Clinton's wishes funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of his family. Arrangements are under the caring guidance of the locally owned and family operated, Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, (Next to Hannaford Markets), 527 E. Albany St., Herkimer, NY.
