Clifford R. Voght, Sr.

Dolgeville - Clifford Romaine Voght Sr., 83, of Dolgeville, NY passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday December 22, 2020.

The son of Victor Voght and Jessie Mae (Clark) Voght, born in the town of Palatine on January 16, 1937. Cliff was educated at the Fort Plain Central School and served in the United States Air Force enlisting on January 4, 1956 and was honorably discharged on February 6, 1958 with the rank of Airman Second Class.

 Cliff was a very hard working farmer and raised his four children while being a great farmer. Farming is what he enjoyed and he was very good at it.

Cliff is survived by his four children, Mary Field ( Elmer ), Clara McWayne ( Jim ), Caroline Swartz ( Ed ), and Clifford Voght Jr. as well as 7 grandchildren Amanda Kelly, Joshua Field, Brittany Field, Brandon McWayne, Bryan McWayne, Evan McWayne, and Delia Mae and 11 great- grandchildren, as well as his sister Clara Fredericks, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was predeceased by his parents, Victor and Jessie Mae Voght; his brothers, Victor and Herbert Voght ; his sister Ada Palmateer : and his pride and joy granddaughter, Nancy Lynn Swartz.

 In keeping with Clifford's wishes a graveside service at Canajoharie Falls Cemetery will take place in the spring of 2021 with full military honors accorded.
