Carol Servello Obituary

 

Ilion – Carol A. Servello, 85, a long time Ilion resident, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 8, 2022, at The Grand in Rome, NY.

 She was born on July 19, 1936, in Herkimer, the daughter of the late Vernon and Viola (England) Parks. Carol was educated in Ilion Schools.

 Carol was united in marriage to John R. Servello on September 8, 1956. The couple shared a blessed union of 64 years until the passing of John on March 12, 2021.

 Mrs. Servello was employed at various industries throughout the Mohawk Valley.

She was a member of the Annunciation Church in Ilion, NY.

 She was preceded in death by her husband John R. Servello, mother, Viola E. P. Harrington, and sister Geraine P. Reynolds. She is survived by her sister Joan (JoAnne) P. Jourde of Fort Worth, Texas.  As well as, brothers Bradley Parks, Jerry Parks, and sister Murrie P. McBride all of Tomball, Texas.  Also, many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors, especially Matt and Gina McLean, and their daughters Giana, Mattisyn, and Maci that she loved, and considered family.

Carol’s family and neighbors would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the nurses and staff of The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing Home in Rome, especially Nicole Giambrone for the wonderful care and compassion shown to her during her illness and passing. 

Her funeral will take place on Monday, May 16, 2022, at 10:30 am at the Annunciation Church, 50 West St., Ilion, NY where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Paul Catena, pastor. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Herkimer. In keeping with Carol’s wishes there will be no calling hours.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Annunciation Church in Ilion, NY.  Arrangements are under the caring guidance of the Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, (next to Hannaford Supermarket), 527 E. Albany St., Herkimer, NY. 315-866-1500.
