Whitesboro - Carol A. Lyon, 77 of Whitesboro and a former Dolgeville resident, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday January 19, 2021 at Crouse Healthcare, Syracuse, NY.
She was born July 16, 1943 in Little Falls the daughter of the late Charles H. and Chancey (Covuoto) Miller. Carol was a graduate of Dolgeville High School and furthered her education in Utica for bookkeeping.
On August 15, 1964, Carol was united in marriage to Marsden A. Lyon at St. Joseph's Church in Dolgeville, NY.
Carol devoted her life to her family, especially her husband, daughters and grandchildren. She was the happiest when she was at her home surrounded by her loved ones. She enjoyed tending to her house plants and relaxing by watching movies.
Survivors include her devoted husband of 56 years, Marsden of Whitesboro; a daughter, Schelli Servidone and husband Joseph of Herkimer; her grandchildren, Jon and Katie Lyon, Zachary & Courtney Servidone and Haley and Grant Benson; a great grandson, Grayson; two sisters, Lois Miller and husband Dixon Peters of Utica, and Charlene Harper of Florida; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was pre-deceased by her daughter, Valeriann M. Lyon on February 11, 1992.
In keeping with the wishes of her family, services and burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Whitesboro will be private. Funeral services are under the caring guidance of her cousin, Vincent A. Enea of the Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, (next to NBT Bank), 527 E. Albany St., Herkimer, NY.
